Three-Vehicle Crash Causes Heavy Traffic Delays

ARCHER LODGE, N.C. – A three-vehicle crash east of Archer Lodge caused major traffic backups during the Tuesday evening commute.
The collision happened in the 7000 block of Covered Bridge Road.
Minor injuries were reported following the crash.

The wreck temporarily shut down traffic in both directions for about 30 minutes as emergency crews worked the scene. The closure created long lines of rush-hour traffic along Covered Bridge Road.
Firefighters with the Northside Fire Department directed traffic around the crash scene until the roadway was reopened.
