Tobacco Farm Life Museum Hosts America 250 NC Traveling Exhibit
KENLY — The Tobacco Farm Life Museum, part of the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, is hosting a traveling exhibit to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary. The exhibit will be on display beginning Tuesday, Feb. 3, through Saturday, March 14.

The “When Are We US?” exhibit examines the nation’s history through voting rights, emancipation, immigration, and integration in North Carolina. This exhibit, funded by the National Historical Publications & Records Commission, features North Carolina stories through select documents, images, and recordings found in repositories across the state.
The exhibit will be accompanied by a One-Day Wonder exhibit Friday, March 6. Archivists will bring replica documents from the State Archives of North Carolina to display and discuss the state’s founding documents.
The museum is located at 709 North Church St. in Kenly. Admission to the museum is free. For more information about the museum or the “When Are We Us?” exhibit, visit tobaccofarmlifemuseum.nc.gov or call 919-284-3431.
