A tow truck at a Clayton area business was heavily damaged this week.
Between 5:00pm Sunday and 1:00pm Monday someone went to Quick Response Towing on Slate Top Road and stole an electronic computer module from the Ford F650 truck.
The thief cut numerous wires while taking the module and also stole the license plate off the vehicle.
Damage to the wiring was estimated at $5,000. The module was valued at $4,000.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
