The Town of Smithfield Public Works Department will be purchasing a new zero turn mower.
The town council this month awarded a low bid of $10,450.14 to East Coast Equipment of Smithfield for a John Deere z970R mower.
Great Outdoors of Dunn submitted a bid of $11,234 for a mower and Bullock Brothers $12,476.09.
