SMITHFIELD – Starting in February, the Smithfield Town Council will meet twice each month.
The town council currently meets the first Tuesday night of each month at 7:00pm. The council agreed to add a second monthly meeting, the third Tuesday, at 6:30pm.
The first Tuesday night meeting will be considered the “formal” monthly meeting, while the third Tuesday night meeting will be more of a “workshop” style. Formal action can be taken at either meeting.
Both monthly meetings are open to the public.
Wow, that’s twice as dangerous. I read that the council was trying to come up with proposals to spend additional money. However, none of the proposals included trying to make that imbecilic traffic arrangement at the outlet center work better.
