Town Honors Selma Boys And Girls Club

The Town of Selma honored the Boys and Girls Club in Selma Tuesday night.

During their monthly meeting, Selma Mayor Cheryl Oliver read a proclamation honoring the Selma chapter which provides services to more than 200 young people each year.

“Boys and Girls Clubs are places where great futures start,” Mayor Oliver said. “They are at the forefront of efforts in academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship programs.”

The 2017 National Boys and Girls Club Week was recently celebrated.

Nationwide there are more than 4,000 clubs working with more than 4 million young people.
