Town Of Smithfield Donates $1,000 To Each Area School

The Town of Smithfield has donated $1,000 to all six area schools.

During recent budget workshops, the town council and manager discussed distributing a total of $6,000 to the school in the new fiscal year, which began July 1st.

The six schools receiving $1,000 each include:

Smithfield Selma High School
Smithfield Middle School
South Smithfield Elementary
Innovation Academy
West Smithfield Elementary
Neuse Charter School
