The Town of Smithfield will be upgrading their website.
Tim Kerigan, Public Information Officer for the Town, said the goal is to provide easier access to information about Smithfield, online forms, applications, city council information, agendas and minutes of meetings, plus online bill pay among other things.
The Town Council voted to award a $7,695 contract to ezTask for the website design. Afterwards, the company will be paid $2,000 per year for hosting. ezTask was the lowest of three bids submitted for the project. The highest bidder was $19,000. The other bid was for $7,800.
The Town will pay for the website design with Economic Development funds.
