Town Replaces Electric Department Pickup

The Town of Selma will spend $26,700 to replace a pickup used by the Selma Electric Department that was totaled recently in a crash.

An electric department employee was operating the 2004 Ford F-150 when it was struck by another vehicle.  There were no injuries in the accident but the truck was a total loss.

The other driver’s insurance company reimbursed the Town of Selma $12,000 for the truck.  The town agreed to spend an additional $14,700 to purchase a 2017 Chevy Silverado from Deacon Jones Auto Park in Smithfield.
