Smithfield Mayor Andy Moore and Selma Mayor Cheryl Oliver have issued a proclamation recognizing Smithfield-Selma High School for 50 years of outstanding service to the community. The mayors also are encouraging all students, past and present, and citizens to participate in the homecoming celebration tomorrow night, September 13th.
In part, the proclamation states, “SSS is a collaboration between the Town of Smithfield and the Town of Selma and we recognize that SSS has played an important role in developing the talents of our young people through the years.”
The school will honor former football players, cheerleaders, and homecoming kings and queens at halftime of Friday night’s homecoming game against North Johnston beginning at 7:00PM.
