Traffic Stop Leads To Arrests In Unrelated Crimes

A traffic stop led to the arrests of two suspects wanted for unrelated crimes.  Wednesday afternoon, deputies from the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office stopped a car on Brogden Road.  Authorities said both occupants in the car were wanted on felony charges.

Vera Holder, 33, of Partridge Drive, Smithfield was wanted for felony conspiracy in connection with a December break-in at a home on Mountain Laurel Lane near Four Oaks. During the break-in, beer, two shotguns, one handgun, a 60 inch TV and 38 inch tires were stolen.

The second person in the vehicle, Brandon Dewayne Stanley, 25, also of Partridge Drive, Smithfield was wanted for the December theft of an ATV and utility trailer recovered recently on Gurley Mill Road near Pine Level.

Stanley was charged with felony larceny, felony conspiracy and attempting to obtain property by false pretenses.  His bond was set at $100,000.
