Train Car Catches Fire

SELMA – The Selma Fire Department quickly brought a train car fire under control, on Friday.

A freight train was traveling through Selma when a car hauling debris ignited.

Fire Chief Phillip McDaniel said crews sprayed approximately 10,000 gallons of water into the burning car to extinguish the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
