Mike Mancuso, President and CEO, of the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce has resigned effective July 23rd. Mancusco has accepted the role of Executive Director for a Community Foundation out of state. Mancuso has been the chamber president since February 2018.
“It has been the highlight of my career to work with this board, our communities, and this staff. The Triangle East Chamber has truly become a Regional Leader and Advocate for our businesses and communities. I am honored and humbled to have had the opportunity to be a part of this organization,” Mancuso said.
Under his leadership, the Chamber achieved great success in bringing collaboration between the nine Triangle East communities and great strides in areas of economic development, workforce development, and community involvement.
Chamber Board Chairman Mark McDonnel said, “On behalf of our membership and Board of Directors, I would like to thank Mike for his dedication and leadership. Under Mike, the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce grew its membership to nearly 600 members, developed innovative services benefiting the entire community while at the same time evolving from a local to a regional leader in economic development.”
“Mike’s accomplishments include the rebranding of the Chamber, bringing together nine Johnston County communities as chamber members and the creation of county workforce readiness initiatives. In addition, Mike guided the Chamber through the pandemic keeping the organization financially strong and creating many support services for all businesses residing in the region.”
“I wish Mike the best, knowing that his hard work during his tenure as our Chamber President will have a long lasting impact on our community,” McDonnel stated.
The Chamber Board of Directors will now begin their search for a replacement.
