A Johnston County state trooper was injured at a license checkpoint near Four Oaks. The trooper is expected to be out of work about one week recovering from her injuries.
It happened last Thursday at a checkpoint set up on Black Creek Road near Elevation Road just outside the Four Oaks city limits.
Trooper J.R. Dolin was standing in the roadway checking the license of a driver pulling a farm trailer. As the driver pulled away, and as Trooper Dolin was walking to the next lane to check another license, the trailer struck her right arm.
Dolin was taken to the hospital for treatment of numbness and pain in her right arm.
No charges were filed against the driver involved.
