Trooper Release Name Of Pedestrian Killed In Accident
The NC Highway Patrol has released the name of a pedestrian struck and killed by a car April 11th on Highway 96 about four-tenths of a mile south of US 701 near the intersection of Heath Road outside of Four Oaks. Trooper said the accident was reported at 8:43pm.
A 2006 Infiniti driven by Lisa Kim Prince, 54, of Selma was traveling southbound when her car struck Nathan Ray Stanley, 38, who was walking in the southbound lane of travel on Highway 96 South. Stanley died at the scene. Prince was taken to Johnston Health in Smithfield for evaluation but was not injured in the crash.
According to his obituary, Stanley was from Four Oaks. According to the Highway Patrol accident report, Stanley was listed as living at an address in Dunn.
Troopers said there were two witnesses to the accident. No charges were filed.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 15th in Benson. Stanley is survived by three children. He was preceded in death by one daughter.
