The Highway Patrol is investigating a serious accident that occurred Wednesday in southern Johnston County.
Around 2:00pm, a pickup truck ran off Juniper Church Road, south of Four Oaks, and collided head on with a tree.
Two people were inside the truck. One person was rushed by ambulance to Wake Medical Center with serious injuries. The second accident victim was taken to Johnston Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
State troopers are still investigating what caused the single vehicle crash.
