A tractor trailer carrying a load of frozen chickens overturned this morning (Wednesday) blocking Highway 39 North of Selma for several hours.
The truck was traveling on Highway 39 near Renfrow-Narron Road, about a half mile north of Highway 42, when the rear wheels on the trailer ran off the right side of the roadway into a deep ditch causing the truck to overturn.
There were no injuries but the overturned semi blocked Highway 39 for several hours until the frozen chicken products could be offloaded and the truck uprighted and towed away. The frozen food was valued at $100,000.
Traffic was detoured around the accident scene on Highway 39. Traffic on Highway 42 East was not impacted.
