BENSON – A transfer truck hit a utility pole Monday evening in downtown Benson. The pole was just on the edge of the detour area for utility work currently underway.
The pole was a NCDOT signal light pole and there are no residential or business outages. The NCDOT is currently on the way to replace the pole.
Benson Police and Benson Fire have established a detour for the area until it’s fixed. Repairs are expected to be completed by midnight.
