SELMA – The State Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle accident on Little Devine Road at Thorne Road north of Selma. The wreck was reported around 9:30am Friday.
A Ford crew cab pickup appears to have been traveling westbound on Little Devine Road when it ran off the two-lane road to the right, overcorrected, and skidded sideways off the roadway to the left at the intersection. The truck struck a fire hydrant and ditch bank, then overturning several times in the front yard of a home.
A resident said they were standing at their window and saw the truck flip several times in the air.
Six people were in the pickup. Four of the occupants, including the driver, reportedly left the scene but were later located walking down Thorne Road. All the occupants sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Johnston County EMS and the Thanksgiving Fire Department responded.
