Truck Strikes Brogden Road Bridge

A tractor trailer carrying an overheight load struck the Brogden Road Bridge over Interstate 95 at Exit 93 Tuesday afternoon.

The NC DOT sent inspectors to check out the bridge and determined it was not damaged. The bridge never closed however one southbound lane was briefly shutdown while debris was being cleared from the interstate.

The NC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.  No injuries were reported.
