Two bodies were found in a home in Johnston County Thursday afternoon. Investigators are treating their deaths as a possible double murder.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call at 112 Unity Drive off Alonzo Road at 4:27 PM.
Officers arrived on the scene and found the body of a man and a woman inside, according to Sheriff Steve Bizzell. The singlewide mobile home is located on a dead end road next to Interstate 40, and just north of Newton Grove, in rural southern Johnston County.
Sheriff Bizzell said a 2 year-old child was found in the residence. The toddler was not harmed and has been placed with family members.
