Two Charged After Drug Search At Archer Lodge Home

ARCHER LODGE, N.C. — A Johnston County narcotics investigation resulted in two arrests after deputies executed a search warrant at an Archer Lodge residence.
Members of the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division served the warrant at a home on Whitetail Lane on July 31.
During the search, investigators reported finding approximately 300 grams of suspected marijuana along with drug paraphernalia.
The resident, Michael Francis Krug, 49, was arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Authorities also arrested John Albert Schmidt, 63, of Old Beulah Road in Selma, who was present at the residence during the search. Schmidt was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Krug was confined in the Johnston County Detention Center under a $10,500 secured bond. Schmidt received a $1,000 secured bond.
