Expired: Two Charged In Stolen Money Investigation

CLAYTON – Two people have been charged with felony conspiracy and obtaining property by false pretense.

Quinntina Nicole Raines, age 31, of Government Road, Clayton and Kieara Lashea Ray, age 31, of Dana Drive, Garner were arrested April 22 by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies allege Raines and Ray stolen $350 from an online banking account belonging to a 40 year-old Clayton area resident. The incident was reported to authorities on December 24, 2024.

The victim and suspects reportedly knew one another.

Raines and Ray were given a secured bond of $20,000 each at the Johnston County Detention Center in Smithfield.
