Two Eagle Scouts Recognized

A double Eagle Scout Ceremony was held Sunday, Feb. 26th at Horne Memorial United Methodist Church for Eagle Scout Benjamin Ross Thomas and Eagle Scout Justin H. Willis from Boy Scout Troop #124 of Clayton.

During the Ceremony, both Eagle Scouts were presented the Eagle Scout Good Citizenship Award from Eagle Scout Coordinator Lewis W. Rice III on behalf of the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment #1236.

Ben is currently a sophomore at Raleigh Charter High School. He is the son of Terrell and Susan Thomas of Clayton (pictured left). Justin is currently a sophomore at Clayton High School. He is the son of Curt and Sabrina Willis of Clayton (pictured right).

Both young men came up in Scouting together from the time they joined Cub Scouts in 2007, and then crossed over into Boy Scouts in 2012. Both Ben and Justin climbed the ladder to Eagle Scout while also going through the Order of the Arrow, the honor society of the Boy Scouts of America.
