Two people were ejected from a pickup after it overturned Friday morning near McGee’s Crossroads. The crash happened around 10:30am in the 12000 block of Highway 50 North.
The Ford truck was traveling northbound when it ran off the roadway, hit a rock pillar then reentered the highway where it overturned in the middle of the southbound lane. Two people in the truck were thrown from the vehicle.
Both victims were talking to first responders at the scene. They were rushed to Wake Medical Center for treatment. The accident shut down Highway 50 for more than an hour. The 50-210 Fire Department and 50-210 EMS responded to the accident.
