Two Escape Burning SUV After Overnight Crash

MICRO — A small SUV crashed and burst into flames just after midnight Thursday on Micro Road West, sending two people to the hospital.
Both occupants were able to escape the burning vehicle before emergency crews arrived.

Firefighters with the Micro Fire Department quickly extinguished the blaze. Johnston County EMS treated the two injured victims at the scene before transporting them to a local hospital where they were treated and later released.

Troopers with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded and are investigating the single-vehicle crash.
