Two people were rushed by ambulance to the hospital Monday afternoon after a car collided with a utility pole. The single vehicle accident happened around 2:00pm on White Memorial Church Road between Highway 210 and Landmark Road.
Members of the 50-210 Fire Department had to use hydraulic tools including the Jaws of Life to free the driver who was pinned in the car. A passenger was also injured. Both were transported to Wake Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Power crews had to replace the utility pole following the accident. Photos by JoCoFire.com
