
SELMA – A driver failed to yield at rural two-way stop intersection in Johnston County. The two vehicle accident sent two adults to Wake Med with non-life threatening injuries.
Around 8:00pm Saturday, a Ford SUV was traveling south on Shoeheel Road when a small Nissan sports car collided with it at the Browns Pond Road intersection, causing the SUV to overturn.

The uninjured driver of the Nissan was cited for failing to yield to the oncoming SUV.
Neighbors said that similar accidents are common at what they called a “dangerous intersection.”

Bethany Fire, Johnston County EMS and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the collision.
