The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into the deaths of two people found inside a home Monday afternoon.
Multiple law enforcement officers responded to the scene around 5:00pm on Clayton Road in the West Johnston community near the Johnston-Harnett County line.
Sheriff Steve Bizzell told WTSB News Monday night it is an “active death investigation.” He confirmed two people were found deceased in the Clayton Road home. He said officers would be on the scene for sometime conducting the investigation. He said detectives were in the process of obtaining a search warrant on the premises.
Sheriff Bizzell declined to release any information about the victims including how they may have died.
No additional details were immediately available.
