Two people were shot in Selma Friday afternoon.
The double shooting was reported at 2:22 pm in the Southern Estates Mobile Home Park off Lizzie Mill Road.
Selma Police Captain R.L. Daniels told WTSB News the suspect, Lacy Holmes, used a shotgun to shoot Randy Dunston in the hand following an altercation over a woman. A bystander, Demetrius Jones, was struck in the chest from the shotgun blast.
Both Dunston and Jones were transported to Wake Medical Center for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries. Holmes was quickly located by responding officers and taken into custody.
Jones was booked into the Johnston County Jail on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Photos by JoCoFire.com
