MIDDLESEX – Two people were transported to the hospital following a collision on Highway 222 West at Antioch Church Road in Johnston County. First responders were dispatched to the crash at approximately 7:30pm Sunday.
A passenger car and SUV collided at the intersection. The impact forced the SUV off the roadway and into the front of a bucket truck, parked several yards off the roadway. The car came to rest just off the pavement.
None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
Antioch Fire Department, Johnston County EMS, Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, and State Highway Patrol responded.
