Two Sought For Questioning Following Bank Robbery

The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday they are now looking for two people wanted for questioning following yesterday’s robbery at the First Citizens Bank on Main Street in Buies Creek. Around 9:41am a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, red pants, hat, and an orange reflective work vest entered the bank and demanded money from a teller.

Authorities said the same man was reported as suspicious at a bank in Angier on Wednesday.

On Friday, detectives said they are looking for a black female who may also be connected to the robbery. She was last seen wearing a white Planet Fitness t-shirt, grey leggings or slim fit jeans and flip flops.  They were believed to be operating a new model gray or silver four door passenger car.

Anyone with information about the identity and location of the two persons of interest is asked to contact Detective Banker with the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office at 910-893-0142 or the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 910-893-0300.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.
