Two Suffer Minor Injuries In House Fire

CLAYTON — Two people were hospitalized with minor injuries Tuesday morning after a fire broke out at a home off Buffalo Road in northern Johnston County.

The blaze was reported at 10:21 a.m. at a residence on Wyndfall Lane. Crews from the North Side, Clayton, and Corinth Holders fire departments arrived to find a fire contained to a bedroom inside the house. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Both residents were taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, officials said.

The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office responded to investigate the cause of the fire. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is also assisting. The cause remained under investigation.
