SMITHFIELD – Traffic delays were reported Friday afternoon following a two vehicle accident on US 70 Business near Yelverton Grove Road.
A passenger car and pickup truck collided, sending the driver of the car to the hospital. The operator of the pickup truck was not injured.
Smithfield and Pine Level Fire units along with Johnston County EMS and the North Carolina State Highway Patrol responded to the 3:30pm incident.
