The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office now says a total of 53 vehicles were burned during a fire last week at Insurance Auto Auction (IAA) between Clayton and Wilson’s Mills.
Nine fire departments responded to the alarm around 11:00pm March 11th at the business located at 60 Sadisco Road. It took crews two hours to fully contain the fire.
IAA placed the loss at $115,593.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Lightning has not been ruled out as a possible cause.
No injuries were reported.
