US 70 Reopens Following Wilson’s Mills Accident

WILSON’S MILLS – A Monday afternoon collision brought eastbound US 70 traffic to a halt near Swift Creek Road in Wilson’s Mills when a dump truck and at least three passenger vehicles collided.

Cars and trucks had slowed to a crawl due to a construction zone lane closure when the accident happened.

The truck driver was uninjured but two others, including a young child, suffered minor injuries.

Wilson’s Mills Fire, Johnston County EMS and Wilson’s Mills Police responded to the accident.
