According to US News & World Report, Neuse Charter School in Smithfield ranks the highest in Johnston County with a 96 percent high school graduation rate and 47 percent of its high school students participating in AP classes.
“This ranking means a lot to me,” said Susan Pullium, Executive Director at Neuse. “It means we’re honoring our purpose and preparing kids for college and providing an authentic school choice for local students to achieve academic excellence.”
Neuse Charter opened in 2007 and is a public K through 12 school located on Booker Dairy Road. Neuse Charter provides innovative approaches to learning by focusing on high academic standards, critical and creative thinking skills, character development and multicultural experiences for grades K-12. All stakeholders work cooperatively to ensure the NCS community empowers every individual to achieve his or her maximum potential.
