Vandals caused several thousand dollars in damage to five homes under construction.
The five homes were owned by Carroll Construction of Willow Spring and all located on Candlenut Lane off Cleveland Road near Smithfield.
Between Saturday afternoon and Monday morning, someone spray painted graffiti on the homes causing an estimated $4,000 in damage. Officials estimate it will take another $1,000 to remove graffiti spray painted on the subdivision street.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
