A man who reported his pickup truck stolen last Friday, spotted his stolen vehicle later that day, and help cops apprehend the suspect.
A Four Oaks man told deputies his white Ford Ranger pickup had been stolen. The victim spotted the truck Friday afternoon near Selma and called Johnston County deputies. Deputies were able to intercept the stolen truck on S. Green Street in Selma and the driver jumped and ran. With the help of Selma Police, the suspect was taken into custody a few blocks away.
Officers also located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vicinity of where the suspect was captured.
Joseph Wayne Harvey, 35, of E. Sanders Street, Four Oaks was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, breaking and entering, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Harvey’s bail was set by a magistrate at $27,000.
