WTSB News has learned a 39 year-old Fuquay Varina resident who fell from a Jeep Tuesday night while in Johnston County has died.
Pepper Ann White fell from a Jeep traveling on White Memorial Church Road off Highway 210 about 10:45pm. White was in the passenger seat of a Jeep driven by James Jewell Hobaugh, 53, of Benson. Troopers said the Jeep was lifted and had its doors removed.
White reportedly removed her seat belt. As Hobaugh entered a curve, she fell out the right side of the vehicle sustaining critical injuries. Authorities confirmed Thursday she died from her injuries.
Troopers said alcohol may have played a factor. There is no word on whether the driver might face any charges.
