A 41 year-old Johnston County man is one of the latest victims of an online scam. The victim said he received an email stating a package meant for his address had mistakenly been delivered to the wrong house. The email instructed him to click on a link in the email to receive a refund.
When he clicked on the link, he was instructed to call a phone number, supposedly for the package company. After calling, the scammer instructed the victim to use his bank card to withdraw $6,500 and deposit the cash in a Bitcoin kiosk in Raleigh to process the refund.
The victim complied. The victim waited several days to report the incident to law enforcement.

If you fall for something like this, you shouldn’t be allowed to drive or vote.
And these people vote?!?!?!
I don’t understand how people can be so naive & gullible. No company is ever gonna ask for crypto currency, gift cards ect.
the scammers should lose all rights to use phones or computers for the rest of their lives.
They are in India. They don’t care.
Sure, a company is going to send my package to a wrong address, and I should pay for it……… WOW!
