Voters Approve School Bond Referendums
Two school bond referendums on the ballot Tuesday were overwhelmingly approved by voters.
The $61 million Johnston County Schools bond referendum was approved with 64 percent support. In unofficial results, the bond received 40,132 yes votes to 22,587 no votes.
The $15 million Johnston Community College bond referendum also passed with 62 percent of voters supporting the measure. In unofficial results, 38,776 people voted for the JCC bond while 23,751 voted against.
