Wake County Sheriff’s Office Asks 11 Staff Members To Self-Isolate

The Wake County Sheriff’s Office’s COVID-19 Staff Support Services Team announced today (Wednesday) that eleven staff members have been asked to self-isolate in their homes for 14 days.

Those affected, which consists of five deputies, one telecommunicator, and five detention officers, either reported flu-like symptoms or have a spouse, that is also in isolation, because they’ve possibly encountered someone with the coronavirus while working in the healthcare industry.

All employees currently show no signs of the coronavirus and are being monitored by their primary care physicians.

The COVID-19 Staff Support Services Team has opened a hotline to assist Wake County Sheriff’s Office employees during this crisis.
