Wanted Person Arrested After Gas Drive Off

CLEVELAND COMMUNITY – A woman wanted by South Carolina authorities was apprehended in Johnston County, on December 27.

Around 4:00pm, Johnston County deputies were dispatched to Murphy Express at 4993 NC Highway 42 West. A store clerk told officers a woman paid for $20 in gas but pumped $42.06 of fuel in her car then left without paying.

Deputies tracked the woman, identified as De’Seera Celeste Wilburn, age 34, of Charlotte, NC to a nearby apartment complex.

Wilburn reportedly told officers she was a DoorDash delivery driver making a food delivery and didn’t have time to pay for the fuel.

A routine background check determined Wilburn had an outstanding warrant in York, SC for breech of trust with fraudulent intent with a value of more than $2,000 but less than $10,000.

Wilburn was taken into custody on the South Carolina warrant. She was also charged with larceny of motor fuel and resisting a public officer.

She was held without bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.

  1. I would never let door dash come to me. Most of them are trash and I would not trust them with my food. By the way WHAT NOW, I agree with you 100%
