Wanted Person Captured After Car Chase

PRINCETON – A man wanted on a burglary warrant was apprehended following a chase with law enforcement officers.

Kaleb Ethan Conner, age 22, of Apex, NC was arrested by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 4:28am Monday, a deputy sheriff responded to a suspicious vehicle call on Old Cornwallis Road near the Princeton city limits. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, a 2008 Chevy Impala, but the driver refused to pull over.

The chase reached speeds of 85 miles per hour before Conner turned onto Rockwell Lane, struck four mailboxes, then wrecked the Impala.

Conner was charged with several offenses including fleeing to elude arrest, speeding, reckless driving, no insurance, fictitious registration, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to maintain lane control, driving left of center, inspection violation, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, simple possession of a controlled substance, and four counts of damage to property.

At the time of the chase, Conner was wanted on a felony breaking and entering warrant stemming from a March 13 residential break-in on Barnes Drive, Princeton.

Kaleb Conner was held under a $100,000 bond at the Johnston County Detention Center.

  1. Looks like a dufus. Behaves like a criminal. Isn’t “turning himself around”. I vote for long time in prison.

    • I second the motion, all in favor say I. He sounds like a looser and that only means a burden on society.
