Neuse Charter School Accelerated Senior Maurice Watson has qualified to compete at the North Carolina High School Athletic Association State Track Meet in Division 1A.
Maurice qualified by running in the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, and 400 meter dash races in regional competition at Pender High School in Burgaw.
He placed 2nd over all in the 200 meter and 4th overall in the 100 meter which qualified him as being among the fastest in each event in the State.
Maurice will be competing in the 1A State Track meet Friday, May 15th at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro. The Neuse Charter community is proud of Maurice and wishes him luck as he represents the school and Johnston County.
