Goldsboro Police are asking for help solving two fraud cases.

On two separate occasions, an unidentified man used a fraudulent check to purchase tires from two local car dealerships. In one instance, the purchase was made on March 8th at Chevrolet Cadillac of Goldsboro and  on March 4th at Stevenson Honda.

Goldsboro-Police-Logo-FIThe suspect, who goes by the name of Avery Wilson or Alan Wilson, provides an identification, which was later turns out to be fraudulent. Authorities suspect the name to also be fictitious.

The counterfeit checks are drawn on non-existent “BB&T Credit Union” accounts and displayed the business name of A. Wilson Heating & AC and Wilson Contractors in Raleigh. Police say the businesses do not exist.

The suspect is described as a stocky black male with a very short or bald hair style and driving a white Dodge Caravan. Police said the person has the ability to modify the fraudulent checks that his passing, so the business name or financial institution may vary.
