Police are asking for help identifying a man who robbed a Wells Fargo bank branch Wednesday afternoon.
Around 3:40pm, the suspect entered the bank located at 301 E. Ash Street in Goldsboro. He approached a teller and presented a handwritten note demanding money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash he ran away on foot. He may have gotten into the passenger side of a vehicle shown in the surveillance image.
No employees or customers were injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as a black male in his mid to late 30’s wearing a golf-style hat and a red, white and blue shirt.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact the Goldsboro Police Department Investigations Bureau at 919-580-4242 or Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255. Cash rewards up to $1,000 are paid to callers for information leading to felony arrests.
