Josh Plisko has been selected as the new Athletic Director for West Johnston High School. Plisko currently serves as head baseball coach at West Johnston and has been with the school for 3-1/2 years.
“Coach Plisko was selected from a pool of highly qualified candidates, and it was a difficult decision,” Principal Dr. Paula Coates said. “I have every confidence that he will do an outstanding job in his new role as we continue the tradition of excellence in our athletic programs.”
Plisko says he is appreciative to the committee for having the confidence in him and he will passionately “strive to bridge academic and athletics while making a difference by giving the best student athlete experience possible.”
“I look forward to building on West Johnston’s stellar reputation in the county and beyond,” Plisko said. “Johnston County is a great place to live, teach, and coach.”
