The West Johnston High School Women’s Gymnastics Team won the North Carolina High School State Title in Large Group during a Jan. 27th meet at the Raleigh School of Gymnastics.
This is the first team state title in the history of West Johnston High.
The Wildcats posted an outstanding combined score of 153.05.
In All-Around the team captured 4 of the top 5 positions including 1st Place – Tasha Brozowski; 3rd Place – Abigayle Harrison; 4th Place – Lelia Brozowski; 5th Place – Jessica Walker; and 8th Place – Carleigh Chapman.
School Athletic Director Josh Plisko said West Johnston will be returning all the gymnasts next year and look forward to continuing their excellence in all events. “West Johnston High School is extremely proud of this major accomplishment,” Plisko said.
